Edward Pasquale
2017-18 Bakersfield condors and/or syracuse crunch game worn vaughn glove and blocker
What you are looking at right now is this Vaughn goalie glove and blocker set that was used by Edward Pasquale in the 2017-18 season while with the Bakersfield Condors and with the Syracuse Crunch in the AHL. To be more specific, the blocker likely saw time with both, whereas the glove likely saw action for a few games after Pasquale joined the Crunch and replaced his mismatched white glove he had been using with the dark blocker back in Bakersfield.
Born on November 20, 1990 in Toronto, Ontario, Eddie Pasquale had a breakout season with Saginaw in the OHL when he was drafted 117th overall by the Atlanta Thrashers in 2009. An OHL All-Star that season, Pasquale turned pro in 2010-11 after the Chicago Wolves signed him to a tryout contract. Splitting the season with Gwinnett and Chicago in the ECHL and AHL respectively, Pasquale eventually cemented himself as a standout prospect in the Thrashers/Jets system. In 2012-13, he was recalled by the Winnipeg Jets to serve as the backup and he remained on their roster for nearly a month, however, he did not see NHL action. In 2014, he was traded to the Washington Capitals, however, due to hip surgery in that off-season, he missed all of 2014-15.
After missing that season, he bounced around affiliations for a few seasons as he belonged to the AHL's IceCaps, the Detroit Red Wings (and winning the AHL Calder Cup with Grand Rapids in 2017), and the Edmonton Oilers, before being traded to Tampa Bay in January 2018. Performing strongly with both Bakersfield and Syracuse in 2017-18, Pasquale took over the number one role in Syracuse in 2018-19, but not before getting a month long recall with Tampa early in the season. This time, however, it finally happened. On December 4, 2018, Pasquale got the start in goal vs the Detroit Red Wings. He stopped 19 of 24 shots as he recorded a 6-5 shootout win. Pasquale also appeared in a pair of late season contests for the club, stopping 71 of 78 shots that he faced in those two games. He was also the recipient of the AHL's Best Goaltending Duo award that season. Heading to the KHL in 2019-20, he has been playing overseas ever since, even earning the KHL's Best Goaltender award in 2021. He also represented Team Canada at the 2022 Olympic Winter Games.
In his NHL career, Edward Pasquale appeared in 3 NHL games, going 2-1-0 with a 3.96GAA, and a 0.882% save average. He appeared in no NHL playoff games.
