1983-84 Game Worn los angeles kings Home Jersey
Born on June 6, 1959 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, Gary Laskoski was given a tryout by the Los Angeles Kings in 1982 after his four year University hockey career with St. Lawrence that ended the season prior. He impressed so much in his five game tryout, (3-0-1 record) early in 1982 that LA signed him to be on their team full time. In his first NHL season, he became the starter for the Kings, overtaking Mario Lessard and appearing in 46 games and posting a 15-20-4 record with a 0.857% save average and a 4.56GAA. After his first season, he briefly held onto the starting role for the Kings from November until the end of December. He appeared in 13 games, recording a 4-7-1 record with a 4.96GAA and a 0.829% save average. Those numbers were not inspiring and he ended up being assigned to the New Haven Nighthawks for the majority of the season where he also struggled. Ultimately, he ended up retiring at the end of the '83-84 season. Since then, he has been largely off the hockey radar.
In his two season NHL career, he appeared in 59 games, recording a 19-27-5 record with one assist, a 4.65GAA and a 0.851% save average. He appeared in zero playoff games.
What you are looking at right now is a 1983-84 season Los Angeles Kings home jersey worn by Gary Laskoski in five games, including his 15th career NHL win as well as the final tie of his NHL career. Wear is noticeable, including puck marks, pilling, a cut out fight strap consistent with other Laskoski examples, and a very nice and clean team repair on the front of the jersey.
