2011-12 game worn montreal canadiens pre-season home jersey
What you are looking at right now is a game worn Montreal Canadiens jersey adorned by Nathan Lawson in the 2011-12 pre-season. It features light, though visible wear allowing for it to be definitively photomatched.
Born on September 29, 1983 in Calgary, Alberta, Nathan Lawson played collegiate hockey with the University of Alaska-Anchorage before turning pro in the ECHL in 2007-08. After his first pro season, he was signed by the New York Islanders. He transitioned to Bridgeport in 2008-09, recording a strong 19-9-2 record in 31 games with them. After another solid campaign in 2009-10, his NHL opportunity finally came in 2010-11. On December 18, 2010, Lawson got the start in goal for the Islanders against the Phoenix Coyotes. He stopped 32 of 25 shots in a 4-3 shootout loss. He appeared in 10 NHL games with the Isles that year. Montreal then signed him in 2011-12, followed by Ottawa in 2013. At the end of the 2013-14 season, Lawson played his final NHL game. In a short ~12 minute relief effort for Robin Lehner before being re-replaced by Lehner, he stopped 8 of 10 shots as the Sens fell 8-4 to the Rangers. He headed overseas thereafter, playing in Austria, Finland, and Slovakia (even winning the Slovakian Championship in 2017) before retiring from play in 2019.
In his NHL career, Nathan Lawson appeared in 11 games, recording a 1-4-2 record with a 4.24GAA, and a 0.889% save average. He played in no playoff games.
