It features excellent wear, making for some easy photomatching.
Born on July 6, 1995 in Edmonton, Alberta, Eric Comrie (brother of former NHLers Mike & Paul), was a star goalie with the Tri-City Americans in the WHL when he was drafted 59th overall by the Winnipeg Jets in 2013. He played a pair of games in the AHL after his draft year, however, remained predominantly in the WHL while recording the league's best save percentage. The following year he got into a few more AHL games, though again spent the majority of the season in the WHL, even winning World Juniors Gold with Team Canada in 2015.
He officially transitioned to the pros full-time in 2015-16, spending the season and appearing in 46 games with Manitoba in the AHL. Near the end of 2016-17, it happened. On April 6, 2017, while on recall with the Jets, Comrie was given the start in goal vs Columbus. He stopped 35 shots in a 5-4 victory. That off-season, he also represented Team Canada in the IIHF Worlds and though he did not get to play, the team did win silver. He played 4 more games with the Jets over the next two seasons before being placed on waivers and claimed by Arizona. He was then traded to Detroit where he appeared in three more games. He played a game with New Jersey in 2020-21 before being waived and then getting reclaimed by Winnipeg. In 2021-22, Comrie ended up appearing in 19 NHL games with the Jets, while recording 10 wins and a shutout. That off-season, he was signed by the Buffalo Sabres where he is currently playing as of the time of this write-up.
