In circa 1951-52, Marcel Paille wore this sweater in the QJHL/JAHA All-Star Game. It features very light wear and is an amazing historic artifact from the pre-NHL days of this netminder.
Born on December 8, 1932 in Shawinigan Falls, Quebec, was a New York Rangers pick in the 1956 Inter-League Draft. Paille turned pro in 1955-56 and his pro playing career continued until 1973-74 spanning the QHL, WHL Sr., AHL, WHA, and the NHL. Paille made his NHL debut for the New York Rangers on November 2, 1957 vs the Boston Bruins. Starting in goal, he stopped all 23 shots that he faced in a 5-0 shutout victory. His NHL career went from 1957-58 to 1962-63, then resumed in 1964-65 and saw him play with the New York Rangers exclusively. He passed away on October 7, 2002.
