Looking for that one missing piece for your card collection can be frustrating!
let heroes of the crease be your personal bounty hunter!
Over the years, the owner of Heroes of the Crease has built a strong reputation as a successful and respected sports card bounty hunter, fulfilling thousands of cards considered improbable to locate off of countless collectors' wantlists. With a vast number of resources at our disposal beyond the typical online avenues, we fully utilize these to try and track your desired cards down. Our success rates are high, and our customers are always happy and often surprised at our efficiency. Beyond that, our customer service and shipping practices are outstanding and at the top of the charts!
Our rules and policies for this that we have developed over years of experience doing this are as follows:
1) For brand new clients, we will not fulfill high end card hunts ($200+) right away, that is, until we have dealt on a lower end item first (or you come highly recommended by respected members in the sports card community whom we are familiar with). This is solely due to past experiences in which we were commissioned to track down a large lot of rare cards and the individual then said they no longer wanted to collect them and we sat on the cards for months before we found another buyer.
2) For any items over $500 in value, we will provide a friendly message after finding the item BEFORE acquiring it for a client. We would then require a non-refundable 50% deposit on the cost of the card if we are given the green light to acquire it, in order to prevent our company from spending lots of money just for a client to back out in the last second. We will not fulfill bounty hunts for cards costing over $2500, however, we can still track these items down for a fee and pass the information along to you.
3) We hold onto all collectors' wantlists and will only message them if we successfully find the card. Otherwise, we do not harass clients, send newsletters, etc,
4) Yes, we do make a small percentage of profit on commissions as we are still a business, and hunting for tough cards can take time, effort, and resources, but we will never hold a buyer's dream card hostage. Our margins are not high on these, we feel that we price cards fairly, we deal with integrity, and we respect our buyers as is our pedigree!
5) Shipping costs are dependent on many factors, including size, value, and location (we only deal within North America) that we are shipping to. Those fees vary by order.
All sales are made in USD via PayPal only (or e-transfer in equivalent USD value based on that day's exchange rate for Canadian buyers exclusively). No cash or trades (unless trades are for new museum relics for our collection).
