photomatching or videomatching your favorite pieces can be a pain!
we can help alleviate that pain!
An amazing skill that "Heroes of the Crease Ltd." has utilized to great success over the years is the ability to photo or video match pieces considered otherwise unmatchable due to age, obscurity, etc. Using the vast resources at our disposal, you can sit back and let us try and do the work for you. Utilizing the libraries of data available to us, as well as consulting fellow archive specialists, we will do our best to try and photo or video match a piece for you. There are no 100% guarantees that we will be able to find a match as countless gaps in photo/video archiving do exist, especially on pre 2000s pieces, however, we can do our very best to try as we have successfully matched lots of obscure pieces going back to the 1970s. Our rates and policies for photo and video matching are as follows:
Photo/video match price rates (prices reflect the average time to find a match by era):
Jerseys/masks/gloves/blockers, pads:
2005 to present: $25 for successful match*
1995-2004: $50 for successful match*
1970-1994: $75 for successful match*
1900-1969: $150 for successful match*
Sticks (because of how many sticks a player goes through in a season, these matches are a lot more difficult to get than other equipment so rates reflect that)
2005 to present: $40 for successful match
1995-2004: $65 for successful match
1970-1994: $90 for successful match
1900-1969: $200 for successful match
You only have to fully pay upon a successful find! I have helped several collectors in the past and my own museum on countless occasions.
Upon finding what we believe to be a 100% definitive match on your requested piece, we will require a non-refundable 50% deposit on the photomatch fee after we have found it before sharing the image/video. This is due to previous experiences in which we shared the match and the clients never fulfilled their payments and then blocked us and wasted our time. Matches we are not 100% sure on, we will send a cropped image with the area in question which may be a match at no cost as I do not feel right taking money unless I am certain.
*Gloves and blockers that are part of a set are one combined fee, however, if they are a mismatched set from different years, they are counted as two photomatch commissions.
Here are just the smallest samples of some of our best successes on pieces that were otherwise difficult to match!
