MIKA NORONEN

Born on June 17, 1979 in Tampere, Finland, Mika Noronen was a highly touted Finnish Junior prospect, drafted 21st overall by Buffalo in 1997. He transitioned to North America in 1999-00 and made his NHL debut in 2000-01. He appeared in 67 solid games between the pipes for the Sabres up to 2005-06, before he was traded to the Vancouver Canucks. With the Canucks, he appeared in four underwhelming games which eventually became the last ones of his career. He returned to Europe following that season and he eventually retired from play at the conclusion of the 2015-16 season.
In his 71 game NHL career, Noronen recorded a 23-32-6 record with 3 shutouts, a 2.68GAA and a 0.901% save average. He was also credited for one goal in his NHL career. He has appeared in zero NHL playoff games.
