2022-23 New York Rangers GAME WORN Brian's Glove and Blocker Set
What you are looking at right now is a photomatched Brian's glove and blocker worn by Jaroslav Halak while with the New York Rangers in 2022-23. Though they exhibit light wear, they have both been definitively photomatched. He utilized at least three unique gloves in NHL game action that season, plus he used specially marked gloves exclusively for team warm-ups. This is an NHL game worn glove of his.
Jaroslav Halak was born on May 13, 1985 in Bratislava, Slovakia. He was drafted 271st overall by Montreal in 2003, and then once turning pro, he continuously put up unreal numbers at the ECHL and AHL levels, even leading the entire ECHL with the best save percentage in 2006. He finally got his chance with the Montreal Canadiens in 2006-07. He made his NHL debut on February 18, 2007 against the Columbus Blue Jackets in a 3-2 victory. He also led the entire AHL with the best GAA in 2007. He remained with Montreal until the 2009-10 season, even supplanting Carey Price as the starter in that final year and leading the Habs into the Conference Finals of the playoffs. In 2010-11, he was acquired by the St. Louis Blues, and he evenly split goaltending duties with Brian Elliott for several seasons, even winning the William M. Jennings Trophy in 2012. In 2013-14, the Washington Capitals acquired him for the end of the season before the New York Islanders signed him for the 2014-15 year. In that first year with the Isles, he posted a career high in wins and helped the Islanders back into the playoffs while he also represented them in the NHL All-Star Game. The Boston Bruins then acquired Halak in 2018-19. Splitting time with Tuukka Rask, Halak helped the team get to the Stanley Cup Final, where they were defeated by St. Louis. In 2019-20, Halak earned his second William M. Jennings Trophy. He was acquired by the Vancouver Canucks in 2021-22 and spent a season there as a mentoring veteran to Thatcher Demko. Halak then joined the Rangers in 2022-23.
